Type of works: major refurbishment of vaults suffering from damp penetration and salt deposits.
Hylands House, circa 1730, originally design by Humphrey Repton, has undergone a major refurbishment of the west wing.
The Delta System 500 has been used to upgrade extensive brick-vaulted cellar areas. The vaults were suffering from the effect of damp penetration and salt deposits. Delta Registered Installer used 2000m2 of Delta MS20 for floors, and Delta MS500 for walls and soffit areas.
Now that these problems have been addressed, the previously unused areas are to be used for a combination of dry storage, utility, and public areas. The building is now a tourist attraction. Parts of the building are also used for civil wedding ceremonies and receptions.
