Kingspan Insulation has become one of the first construction product manufacturers to achieve ISO 37301:2021 accreditation across all active British and Irish sites. In reaching this milestone, their sites have demonstrated their commitment to maintaining a culture of compliance across all aspects of their work, and to constantly improving practices.

ISO 37301:2021 is the new global benchmark for compliance management systems (CMS). It replaces ISO 19600:2014, expanding on its requirements in a number of areas and requiring organisations to demonstrate they are adhering to principles of good governance, integrity, transparency, accountability and sustainability.

The certified sites are located in Pembridge in Herefordshire, Selby in North Yorkshire and Castleblayney in County Monaghan, Ireland. To reach accreditation, the sites had to not only demonstrate well developed CMSs, but also prove their commitment to continually improving in all areas. This required them to undergo a rigorous independent assessment process along with an on-going three yearly audit cycle.

The CMS extends to all aspects of work at their sites and offices, from product development and site operations, to marketing and technical support. It supports and further enhances the existing integrated management systems present at Kingspan Insulation’s production sites, many of which are certified to other leading industry standards including ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015(environment) and ISO 50001:2018(energy).

This new accreditation means that customers can have real confidence that the advice, technical information and products we supply has been thoroughly assessed to ensure it meets, or improves on, the compliance criteria for relevant industry standards – both legal and voluntary.

The entire process of achieving certification at Kingspan Insulation’s British and Irish sites has taken around 14 months and forms part of Kingspan’s wider goal to achieve ISO 37301:2021 certification across all its global sites.
