Mapei’s UltraCare range provides solutions for the complete tile lifecycle, from cleaners and protectors, to enhancing finishes and complementary surface treatments. Throughout the series, solutions are offered for all tile types - from acid-sensitive limestone to external porcelain pavers – in both domestic to commercial environments. Each treatment also benefits from individual Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification and the range includes products from Mapei UK’s Zero Line, with CO2 fully offset throughout the entire life-cycle.

UltraCare Cleaners
The UltraCare cleaning range includes solutions for daily and deep cleaning, before and after tile installation. Products include highly concentrated pH-neutral solutions that can be used at different dilutions for a variety of applications; for example, best-selling UltraCare Multicleaner Zero can be used at a low dilution to remove cementitious residues as part of a builders clean, or at a high dilution for daily non-rinse, streak-free cleaning. Alkaline-based UltraCare HD Cleaner Zero – a pro-grade detergent and degreaser – provides a deeper clean for porcelain, ceramic and unpolished natural stone, removing organic dirt, grease and wax, as well as algae and blackspot from external pavers. Solutions are also offered in ready-to-use spray bottles. A wide range of removers are also available, to tackle specific issues, including wax and grease deposits, fixing residues, rust and efflorescence.

UltraCare Protectors
Developed to suit individual tile characteristics, UltraCare stain protectors
and intensifiers are non-film forming, breathable and UV resistant. The core range includes natural-effect water-based impregnators, alongside refreshers, colour enhancing protectors and solvent-based formulations for all types of tile and stone. In addition, the UltraCare series also includes Grout Protector; 5 Sides Sealer, to protect surfaces from moisture and adhesive staining, and Rain Protector which protects cracked tiles from water ingress. Each of the ready-to-use solutions are formulated to be applied with a brush, cloth or fleece applicator, offering protection at every lifecycle stage.

UltraCare Finishes
Protective liquid waxes - matt-finish UltraCare Finish Opaca and gloss finish UltraCare Finish Lucida – are formulated for internal unpolished stone tiles, providing protection against a wide range of stains, including oil, ink and acidic stains. The treatments can also be diluted with water and applied periodically to maintain tile lustre. As well as providing high wear protection, polymers and waxes within the finishes also provide superior transparency, elasticity and improved slip resistance.

Complementary Products
In addition to cleaning solutions, protectors and finishes, the range also includes UltraCare Deep Protector which slows the reformation of mould, and UltraCare Smooth Silicone – a mould-resistant smoothing product for finishing sealants.
