There’s only a few weeks left to go now until Timber Expo, the UK’s leading event for the timber industry, opens its doors to showcase new technologies, new products and new applications to more than 4000 expected visitors.

Timber Expo 2012 is being held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on the 25th and 26th September. Along with the main exhibition of over 200 companies, visitors can also attend free Timber Talk Seminars focusing on hot topics in the industry and create new business relationships using the Timber Buyers Forum that aims to bring timber buyers and exhibitors together.

TD support pads are an easy, fast and effective way to raise timber decking off flat roofs and structural surfaces, aiding drainage and protecting the membrane beneath. They hold a timber joist, onto which the top layer of decking is fixed.

These polypropylene supports are loose laid onto waterproofed surfaces with the baseplate distributing the weight. Height is adjusted by twisting the stem, creating a completely flat upper surface on roofs built to a fall. Steps, angles and large differences in height can be catered for due to the large height range available. The headpiece is designed to house a timber joist neatly. The joists will be fixed together with cross beams so that a strong, stable framework is created and the decking planks will then be drilled into the joist frame.







Because all timber is suspended, none will lay in standing water, prolonging the lifespan considerably. The void also prevents puddling and allows services such as drains, cabling and pipework out of sight.
