Recognising Construction Marketing Excellence

Recognising Construction Marketing Excellence

In early December, representatives of construction marketing gathered for the Construction Marketing Awards gala dinner to learn who this year’s top achievers were.

The twenty first Construction Marketing Awards are an initiative to encourage best practice in construction marketing. Lead sponsor is Barbour ABI who have been a keen supporter of the concept of the awards.

This year saw a high number of entries for the awards, with submissions of an impressive quality, making it very difficult to judge. What is also pleasing was that we had a number of first time entries who were finalists, and in some cases winners. It was also clear from the submissions that the pandemic has forced many organisations to think differently, and as the winners have demonstrated, this has often been for the better.

You can review all of the finalists and the winners’ entries in the CMA Winners Book. And over the coming months we will be publishing a series of blog articles giving the stories behind some of the wins. First of these describes the Best Built Environment Member Organisation Marketing Campaign which was won by the Construction Products Association working with MRA Marketing.

The Agency League Table is an important feature of the CMAs. The table is compiled by taking the last four years of results and awarding five points for a win, three for a high commendation, and one for a spot on a shortlist. It provides a useful measure of agency performance and is an ideal starting point for an organisation looking for a communications agency with a proven construction industry track record.

Entries for the 2022 awards will open in April 2022 and the gala dinner is scheduled for 1st December 2022 in London. So start thinking about your entry, it needs to be a project or initiative which was completed between June 2021 and August 2022.

The organisers would like to thank Barbour ABI, the other sponsors and supporters but most importantly those who entered the awards for their support. Congratulations to this year’s finalists and winners.
