As part of a refurbishment project involving the installation of additional rooftop plant on an existing industrial building, the Ascent™ Low Level Bridge Unit was specified to enhance safe access.

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) was required for the facility, necessitating a secure rooftop access solution. A height safety specialist contractor was appointed to assess risks and identified potential slip, trip, and fall hazards.

The Ascent™ Low Level Bridge Unit was installed to provide maintenance personnel with a safe means of crossing the rooftop.

• Spanning the central valley gutter, the unit prevented the risk of falls.
• Its open grillage design ensured free drainage and an anti-slip walking surface.
• Guardrails on both sides offered additional fall protection.
• Adjustable support feet enabled precise on-site levelling while providing a non-penetrative support system, maintaining the roof’s waterproof integrity.

Supplied flat packed with detailed installation instructions, the unit was designed in accordance with BS EN ISO 14122-1 & 3:2016 and manufactured in compliance with BS EN 1090 CE standards, ensuring high levels of quality and safety.
