For years, Safety Fabrications has focused on supplying ladders designed for upward access. However, this changed when Eurosafe's inspection engineers identified a need for a safe solution to access an inspection chamber at Uppingham School.
Founded in 1584 by Robert Johnson, Archdeacon of Leicester, Uppingham School is a prestigious public school located in Uppingham, Rutland, England. Johnson also established Oakham School, another renowned institution in Rutland.
To address the access requirements, the team developed a bespoke Ascent ladder specifically designed to meet BS EN 14396:2004 standards for fixed ladders used in manholes. Eurosafe engineers installed the ladder securely to the masonry structure of the chamber.
The ladder was fabricated at Safety Fabrications' Sheffield facility, adhering to CE/UKCA certifications and BS EN 1090 manufacturing standards.
